The Division of Landscape Architecture was established in 2002 under the Faculty of Architecture of Kasetsart University. In 2014 the division has transformed its administrative structure into the Department of Landscape Architecture under the same faculty. Recognized as the third founder among seven institutes offering the landscape architectural professional degree, the department carries on its initial philosophy of interdisciplinary by maintaining the academic cooperation with the Faculty of Forestry, Agriculture, and Social Science. Thai and foreign scholars as well as practitioners are often invited to participate the program as guest lecturers or critics. The department also maintains its partnership with Thai Association of Landscape Architecture (TALA) by joining the annual TALA student workshop and other special requested activities to ensure the students’ exposure to landscape practitioners’ network will sustain. Striving for the academic excellence, the department is now preparing to launch the graduate programs in Landscape Architecture in the upcoming year of 2019 with an aim to expand a broader learning horizon of landscape architecture to a higher level by linking research and practice together for the benefit of learners and society.
